1. If using regular condensed milk, place the unopened can in a pot and bring it to almost boiling. Allow it to simmer for at least 2 hours to achieve caramelization. Skip this step if using pre-caramelized condensed milk.
2. In a bowl, combine the caramelized condensed milk or chilled condensed milk with coffee.
3. Add the vanilla seeds from the vanilla bean and brandy (or rum) to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
4. Pour the heavy cream into the mixture.
5. Stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
6. Pour the liqueur into clean glass bottles and let it chill in the refrigerator.
7. It's best to use the liqueur within two weeks.
